José Anne’s artwork is inspired by the ancient Japanese technique of Nihonga. In her own personal adaptation of the artform, she blends semi-precious stones, minerals, shells, crystals from the Canadian Rockies and other materials with ink to produce unique colors as well as textures and brilliance to her art. She also incorporates gold and silver leaf to her work to introduce delicate and intricate motifs. José Anne’s art mirrors her beautiful, joyful and loving soul. Her art inspires reflection, tranquility and inner peace.
