Pauline Boudreau
painter
Pauline Boudreau was born in the countryside of Sawyerville, in the Eastern Townships, where her parents owned a dairy farm. She is the eldest of a family of eight children. She started painting at the age of twenty-five but has devoted herself entirely to her art for the last 35 years. Oddly enough, she was not drawn to art during her childhood. Even in high school she has no memories related to art. Pauline pursued a career as a social worker until 1986 when she decided to quit her job to devote herself entirely to art. First as an artist, but also as a gallery owner. Using fall colors to tell the story of the Eastern Townships, she drags her palette and her brushes to Arizona to present you with reds and surrounds herself with blue to help you discover Brittany and the Gaspé. Pauline is a member of the Institute of Figurative Arts (IAF). Over the course of her career, she has received several awards and honorable mentions. She describes herself as a dinosaur. She paints for herself, not what is in fashion, but what fascinates her. We are proud and happy that she has been chosen our gallery to continue her journey.
